Anniversary cards

I usually don't go into a lot of die-cutting & embossing when making multiple cards but for some reason these were an exception.  I made 7 of these:
I created a mask of the label frame and stamped through it to create the floral focus inside.

Stamps used (all GinaK Designs):
Wild Flowers
All Occasion Tags
Lovely Labels 2

Dies:
Spellbinders Impressabilities Floral Stone
Spellbinders Labels 16

I was a featured artist!

I was chosen to be a featured artist at Inspire Me Fridays!! Check out the other featured artists fabulous creations at http://joyfulstamper.blogspot.com/2012/10/inspire-me-fridays-82-anything-goes.html

It was for my masculine card with the motorbike and the horse shadow.

Birthday Wishes (Masculine)

I made this card for the current Paper Crafter's Library newsletter challenge:
http://blog.papercrafterslibrary.com/project-ideas-newsletter-challenge-dashing-through-the-snow/

You have to use whatever you have in your stash and create a card using the inspiration photo / layout.
I moved my main image slightly to the left and created a 'fake' strip behind it (instead of ribbon) by masking the edges with torn paper and shading with Distress Ink.

Stamps used (all GinaK Designs):
Boat: Enjoy the Sunshine
Sentiment: Whimsical Wishes
Frame: Lovely Labels 2

Multi-layered Birthday card

Here is a multi-layered birthday card:
I cut a circle out of the top layer and first marked the opening with pencil. I removed the top layer and stamped the central image on the card front. I re-stamped the florish circle on the top layer separately. (You can also just stamp through the front layer onto the card base but I wanted to see more of it through the opening.) The front layer is popped up with 3D foam.

Something different - bookmark

I was playing around last night and made this prototype for bookmarks. I don't know if anyone else is like me, but I'm often busy reading 3 or 4 books (rotating them of course). Usually something scholarly (e.g. one about the dig discovering the mummy of Nefertiti), something trivial (The Book of Lists), something serious (writings by Spurgeon), etc.

So I made this "set". It's very basic and I didn't go into a lot of trouble to "fancy it up":
Before stamping I stuck the sticks together with sticky tape. Then I just stamped all over them, trying to keep some parts of the sentiment over each stick. I added a little Liquid Pearls as well.

Romantic anniversary

As some of you may know I just LOVE Mo Manning's amazing images. They are easy and fun to color and what helps me is that the images hint at where to shade darker.
I just HAD to buy this image, Jack & Ginger, for my anniversary cards. It goes very well with GinaK's sentiment from the The Vine

I actually made 4 cards but wanted to show with 2 how with the same panels I made slightly different cards - it depended on the background DP.
ALL the DP are from Prima's Meadow Lark paper pack.

Masculine Birthday with Horse power

I got this great vintage image from Digital Two for Tuesday.

I also printed duplicates to cut out the biker and pop him up with 3D foam.

Kitchen Knight

This card is also for the church card ministry but is also for my boy (who is turning 3 in November!!).
(Don't know why it shows so blurry)

Main image: Mo Manning's "Kitchen Knight" - It is very appropriate since this is exactly like him. I keep having to fish out my kitchen tools from the garden.
Sentiment: Unity's Birthday Chic
Background paper - I got this in a scrapbook pack from our version of a dime store.

Birthday Girl

This card is for a 2-year old girl from church:

Wings colored with Sekura Star Dust pen

Wedding time!

Our church is hosting a wedding to a lovely couple tomorrow and it's going to be so great! Here's their wedding card:

Background paper: GinaK Designs "Petals & Wings"
Image: Digichick Wedding Cake
Colored with Spectrum Noir markers
Glossy Accents used to gloss "icing"
Liquid Pearls used to make dots on top layer

Masculine car birthday

This image is from a clip art picture I found on the web.

I used Glossy Accents on the sides of the car.
The sentiment I created in Microsoft Powerpoint before printing the image.
The corners are stamped with GinaK Designs' "Elegant Elements" directly onto the card base whilst the matted main image was popped on with 3D foam.
The edges were shaded with Tim Holtz Anique Linen.

Sweet Birthday

Here's a "sweet" card for a friend's 2-year old.
I love it when you try to fix a mistake and it ends up better than you planned (*grin*).  There was a smudge behind where the sentiment strip's button is... (Don't tell anyone...). The pointy end is lifted up with some 3D foam.

I adhered the loose glitter with Glossy Accents (that stuff is brilliant).

Another LIM & Unity card

I was really inspired by the entries for this week's Less Is More challenge:
http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2012/10/week-89-one-layer.html

Again I used a Unity set: Dream Big

Less is More with Unity

I have quite a few cards to show you so pardon if the posts for today (19 Oct) are a bit short:

The Less is More challenge (!) is to use ONE layer with WINGS: http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2012/10/week-89-one-layer.html

Here is my first entry:

A Knightly Birthday

I just LOVE coloring pages for specific themed cards. This one is for a 10-year old - I'm sure he'll like it :D

The knight was cut out by hand and popped on top with 3D foam.
If I make this card again in future I will make the flags 3D elements as well.

Markers: Spectrum Noir.

Fluffly birthday

This little card was made for a 1-year old. I hope he'll like the fluffy sheep :D
The barn & trees were paper pieced and the sheep I guess you can say was "cotton-wool-pieced".
Stamp set: GinaK Designs Funny Farm; All Occasion Tags
Markers: Spectrum Noir

Green wishes

I made this simple card for our pastor. The green blocks strip is from a paint sample card.
The leaves were cut from some stripey paper using Spellbinder's Foliage leaves and glued and attached with some brads.

A quick update

Hello everyone
Just to let you know we're still alive and doing well. After our move in July to our new home we've taken some time to settle into new routines but we're almost there.
Due to MUCH limited space it's not easy to make cards since I have to unpack all my tools & materials to make something. I'm carrying on to make cards for the church ministry but that's about all.
I've got a couple of card to show you soon. (Just waiting for more permanent internet access.)
Take care & God bless.

Snowboard Santa

I was looking for a cool image for a teenager and found this gem at Mo's Digital Pencil:  http://www.mosdigitalpencil.com/snowboard-sant...
